MANILA, Philippines — The speed limit on the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (NAIAx) and portions of Skyway Stage 3 will be adjusted to 80 kilometers per hour (kph)taya777, the San Miguel Corporation (SMC) said on Tuesday.

According to SMC, the speed limit adjustment for the NAIAx will be effective on Wednesday, January 15, while the Skyway Stage 3 changes will be implemented next Monday, January 20.

"This series is not just about the two teams playing; it's about reviving the spirit of hockey in Delhi. We hope this will inspire more young players from the region to take up the game," Harmanpreet stated in a press release issued by Hockey India.

Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey expressed his enthusiasm and stated: "This bilateral series against Germany will be a remarkable showcase of world-class hockey. Both India and Germany have a rich history in the sport, and this series will give fans an opportunity to witness an intense competition between two of the most formidable teams in the world.

However, SMC Chairman Ramon Ang noted that the 60-kph speed limit will still be imposed for all drivers on the curved sections of both expressways.

“This is to maintain safety, as we do not want to put any motorists at risk of accidents due to miscalculation or oversteering, especially where there are sharp curves, given the limitations to the design of both the NAIAx and Skyway 3,” Ang said in a statement.

Ang mentioned that the adjusted speed limit would make the expressways more efficient for drivers, adding that it “also complements the ongoing reconfiguration of exit plazas at NAIAx, which should allow for less congestion and help improve motorists’ experience on the expressway.”

He added that all traffic patrollers, equipped with radar speed guns and deputized by the Land Transportation Office, will continue monitoring traffic violations and issuing corresponding offenses.
